A biome is a complex biotic community often characterized by the plants and animals that dominate the area, however they are also characterized by the climate in the region.
Examples: Tundra, Desert, Grasslands, and others
The Grasslands are a type of biome where the plant Poaceae (Grass), dominates the region. Grass is one of the most common, if not the most common, types of vegetation in our world today. Two types of Grasslands are temperate grasslands and Savannahs. The wildlife in the area is extremely competitive and rich. It contains animals such as Tigers, Zebras, Jaguars, Buffalo, and more.
